GIW 2003 CALL FOR POSTERS

CALL FOR POSTERS AND SOFTWARE DEMONSTRATIONS

GIW 2003 has a session for posters and software demonstrations sponsored by JSBi. For a poster/demo, an exactly two-page abstract in the specified format shown at INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS should be submitted to:

Deadlines:

October 10, 2003	Poster/demo submission deadline
October 27, 2003	Notification of acceptance/rejection
October 30, 2003	Final version due (see INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS)

After review, authors will be notified acceptance/rejection by October 27, 2003.
Each accepted poster/demo abstract will be included in ``Genome Informatics 2003''.

Oxford University Press Bioinformatics Prize

The Oxford University Press Bioinformatics Prize will be awarded to the best poster/ demo selected by JSBi selection commitee. The winner will receive JPY30,000 and one year free subscription of journal Bioinformatics. The first author of candidate for this prize must be a member of JSBi by October 10, 2003.

PUBLICATION

Accepted poster/demo articles will be included in ``Genome Informatics 2003'' (Genome Informatics No. 14) published from Universal Academy Press, Inc. (http://www.uap.co.jp/uap/New_Publi/SERIES/GIS/GIS.html), but will not be indexed by MEDLINE. The electronic version of Genome Informatics No. 14 will be available from JSBi ( http://www.jsbi.org/journal.html ) soon.
