GIW 2002 CALL FOR POSTERS

CALL FOR POSTERS AND SOFTWARE DEMONSTRATIONS

GIW 2002 has a session for posters and software demonstrations sponsored by JSBi. For a poster/demo, an exactly two-page abstract in the specified format shown at INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS should be submitted to:

Deadlines:

October 1, 2002	Poster/demo submission deadline
October 25, 2002	Notification of acceptance/rejection
October 30, 2002	Final version due (see INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS)

After review, authors will be notified acceptance/rejection by October 25, 2002.
Each accepted poster/demo abstract will be included in ``Genome Informatics 2002''.

Oxford University Press Bioinformatics Prize

The Oxford University Press Bioinformatics Prize will be awarded to the best poster/ demo selected by JSBi selection commitee. The winner will receive JPY30,000 and one year free subscription of journal Bioinformatics. The first author of candidate for this prize must be a member of JSBi by October 1, 2002.

PUBLICATION

Accepted poster/demo articles will be included in ``Genome Informatics 2002'' (Genome Informatics No. 13) published from Universal Academy Press, Inc. (http://www.uap.co.jp/uap/New_Publi/SERIES/GIS/GIS.html), but will not be indexed by MEDLINE. The electronic version of Genome Informatics No. 13 is available from JSBi ( http://www.jsbi.org/journal.html ).
